A more challenging expeditions, designed for the older Scouts (e.g.) Ely – Minnesota canoe trip / Packard – Colorado mountain climbing & rafting / Philmont – hiking in New Mexico / Seabase – Florida scuba or sailing trip. Sign-ups can be as early as 1 to 2 years in advance and are often determined on a draw basis as many Troops, nation-wide, wish to participate. Space is limited. Watch for details in the Newsletter and/or Website. Note that some adventures are only available to a Troop every other year, so it is important to closely monitor these opportunities. Class A uniform to is required for travel; Class B the rest of the time. Age requirements and some rank requirements varies upon the High Adventure.
Troop 122 works hard to make several high adventure camping opportunities available each year. The table below includes a summary of important information about the four high adventure facilities we use. If you are interested in leading a crew for our troop to one of these facilities, please contact the Troop’s High Adventure Camp Coordinator.
